Swirl Pendants

Here are some more swirls I've done with Fimo. It's rather addictive and great fun to do this. You can see the process here

Fimo Swirl Pendant

I like to match my jewelry to my clothing, and I wanted something for jewelry with a tad of a certain purple to wear, so I used just a small amount of the purple clay with the Fimo silver effect clay, to make the swirl. It's a great thing to do with left-over clay! I twist together a small coil of one color, and a larger coil of one or more other colors. Then using a piece of glass, I swirl the clay around to create the swirled effect.

Fimo Pendant

I like this, although it wasn't what I planned. I was playing with swirling beads and ended up with a pendant. It's made of Fimo's black, copper, and sparkle silver.

Turquoise and brass heart necklace

I added polymer clay in a turquoise shade to the filigree brass heart. It's just a matter of pressing the clay into the filigree and baking for the proper time.

Gold leaf necklace

I have some real gold leaf, from Germany, that's about a 100 years old. I decided to start using that for making some jewelry. Here's an example of one that I created.

Velvet necklace

I bought a pair of lovely earrings at a garage sale, took them apart, and made a couple of necklaces from them using velvet. This is one of the necklaces I made.

Blue and silver leaf necklace

I've been having fun experimenting with various metal leafs on polymer clay and this one I created by covering the clay with a silver leaf, and then sanding the top.

Necklace

This is made by using a red effects clay by Fimo and then decorated with a silver metallic paste and a Swarovski crystal.

Polymer clay leaf necklace

I made the leaves from black polymer clay covered in silver leaf, and then crackled. I'm having a lot of fun using the leaf in various colors. The leafs are "Mona Lisa" and are "composite metals." I've also used the real copper leaf they sell, and have been testing some antique real gold leaf that was from my Grandfather. What fun this is!

I made this out of a couple of vintage necklaces that I thought were rather goofy by themselves. Lousy pic-should have straightened it. :)

Doc's Original Jewelry and Miniatures

I love to make both jewelry and dollhouse miniatures. I work primarily in polymer clay but also in other mediums and with jewelry, I like to design and create from vintage and new mediums.

Pictured above is a waterfall necklace I recently made with vintage parts. -doc
